GETTING STARTED
Finding Qualified Grant Funding Opportunities

PPF Grant Support Packet

Our comprehensive grant support packet is a valuable resource, providing essential knowledge and insightful guidance to maximize your chances of success in grant acquisition. Access it now to equip yourself with the tools needed to navigate the world of grants confidently and effectively.

Grant Databases

Discover a wealth of grant opportunities through our access to three powerful databases:

  • Candid’s Foundation Directory Online (FDO), a robust search engine, connects you with over 200,000 grantmakers, allowing you to pinpoint potential funders based on mission areas, locations, and a variety of other tools to screen for matchability.

We provide our clients with their own access in one-hour increments to both of the above platforms. Please see the attached instructions to sign up for a time slot.

  • Grant Watch, explores an extensive collection of active grant opportunities aligned with your goals. This search engine will also allow you to search based on mission areas, locations, and much more.

  • Donor Search empowers you to access profiles of individual private grantmakers and gain valuable insights into foundation grant recipients. Seamlessly download profiles by providing the full name and address of your prospective grantmaker. Furthermore, this platform enables you to explore the grant landscape by searching individual foundations and uncovering the sources from which they receive grants.

Certain corporate grantmakers require their grant applicants to be registered with CyberGrants FrontDoor. If you plan on soliciting corporate grants and would like to be set up on CyberGrants, please reach out to PPF's Grant Manager, Gina Custead, for assistance.

Government Grant Opportunities

All projects pursuing government grants must request approval from PPF for each government grant opportunity before applying. Please use our Government Grant Opportunity Request Form. This request must be submitted no later than 20 business days (approximately four weeks) before the submission deadline for the grant.

Once approved to apply, Projects must submit to PPF the completed application, including all forms, appendices, letters of support, etc, no later than 3 full business days prior to the submission deadline. PPF will send any recommended or required edits as quickly as possible. PPF will indicate when an application is approved for submission.

Frequently Requested Grant Application Documents

Fiscal Sponsorship Confirmation Packet, W9, and Disclaimer Statement

The fiscal sponsorship confirmation packet and project W9 are provided to the fund advisor(s) during the onboarding process. The fiscal sponsorship confirmation packet includes the project’s disclaimer statement, PPF's IRS Letter of Determination as well as a letter proving the project's fiscal sponsorship status. This confirmation packet is an excellent resource to include in grant applications or to provide to potential funders.

Project Budget and Financials

A Statement of Activity for your project can be provided upon request from the Accounting Department. Advisors will need to create the program’s budget if required.

GRANT FAQ

  • If your project will require documentation or specialized reports for a grant opportunity, we ask that you submit this request at least seven (7) business days prior to the due date. If there are no reporting requirements, we ask that you notify our Grant Manager, Lily, at lily.wells@ppf.org, that you have applied for this opportunity in case the grant maker reaches out to our team.

  • Please reach out to PPF’s Grant Manager, Lily, at lily.wells@ppf.org and your accounting associate for these requests.
