PPF's vision is to empower athletes, entertainers and other individuals through sound best-practiced-based philanthropic education, facilitation and inspiration to make a positive impact on causes and communities in need.
2011 - Matt Stover, Seth McDonnell, & Emil Kallina co-founded the Players Philanthropy Fund - PPF to meet the charitable needs of sports professionals.
2012 - The Edgar Jones Foundation was established with PPF. Edgar was the first client on the roster.
2013 - Fireman Rob Verhelst & The Fireman Rob Foundation joined the roster.
2014 - Etan Thomas of The Etan Thomas Foundation became the first NBA player player to join the roster.
2015 - Soul, Arts & Music Foundation, Inc. joined our roster thus branching our work into the entertainment sector.
2016 - PPF saw tremendous growth in terms of number of clients and funds under-management. We also welcomed our first athlete from Major League Baseball (MLB) when Becky & Jesse Crain of The Crain Family Foundation joined the PPF roster.
2017 - The Sanaa Lathan Foundation, Inc., founded by actress Sanaa Lathan, joined our roster as our 1st female client from the entertainment world.
2018 - PPF’s reach expanded to half of the United States as client funds were located in at least 25 of the 50 states.
2019 - PPF started working with its first soccer athlete: Amobi Okugo, Founder of The Ok U Go Foundation.
