Players Philanthropy Fund and Carl Davis’ Trenchwork Foundation Team Up
Baltimore, MD - April 4, 2017- The Players Philanthropy Fund (PPF) is pleased to announce its newest Fiscal Sponsorship client: Trenchwork Foundation. The President and Founder of Trenchwork Foundation is Carl Davis, defensive tackle with the Baltimore Ravens.
Davis was selected by the Ravens in the third round (90th overall) of the 2015 NFL Draft. He competed in college football for Iowa and prepped at Stevenson High School (Sterling Heights, MI). Davis has been active in his community prior to joining the PPF family promoting PLAY 60, the NFL movement for an active generation, joining teammates for a PLAY 60 Challenge Kickoff assembly at Gen. John Stricker Middle School and participated in the Ravens annual Hispanic Heritage Month football clinic to teach predominantly Hispanic children the fundamentals of football. Alongside Giant Food, he helped distribute 150 holiday food baskets to families in need at the Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Family Center YMCA.
“The Players Philanthropy Fund welcomes Carl to our organization’s family,” Matt Stover, co-founder and retired Baltimore Raven kicker said. “We have enjoyed getting to know Carl and learning more about his goals and objectives for his foundation and we know that he is poised to make a positive impact on the communities, causes and people he cares deeply about. His mission will focus on revitalizing his hometown through construction of new and renovation of existing homes in the Detroit, MI neighborhood where he grew up. This announcement is really exciting for us,” Stover added. Davis is one of over 30 clients partnering with the Players Philanthropy Fund to further their philanthropy.
