INAUGURAL bELTWAY BOARDS + BREWS - october 30, 2017
Over 150 attendees gathered at the Baltimore Museum of Industry Monday night, October 30, 2017 for Beltway Boards + Brews Celebrity Cornhole Tournament, the inaugural star-studded fundraising event benefiting the Players Philanthropy Fund - PPF and other admirable causes. The first-of-its-kind event brought together VIPs from the world of sports and entertainment for a night of cornhole competition in a “Pro-Am” style tournament.
CELEBRITY ATTENDEES
Tyus Bowser is a linebacker for the Baltimore Ravens. Tyus was selected out of Houston by the Ravens in the 2nd round of the 2017 NFL Draft. 4 games into his rookie season, Tyus already has 1 sack and 1 interception.
John Brenkus is a New York Times best selling author, the host and co-creator of Emmy award winning program "Sports Science" on ESPN, and the co-host of podcast Brink of Midnight. John is also co-founder with Ray Lewis of Ray of Hope Foundation, a PPF client.
Brandon Carr is a cornerback for the Baltimore Ravens. Before playing for the Ravens, Brandon spent 2008 to 2011 with the Chiefs and 2012 to 2016 with the Cowboys. A portion of the night's proceeds will benefit Brandon's foundation, Carr Cares Foundation.
Morgan Cox is a long snapper for the Baltimore Ravens. Morgan was signed by Ravens in 2010 as an undrafted free agent out of Tennessee. Morgan is a 2x Pro Bowler from 2015 and 2016.
Carl Davis is a defensive tackle for the Baltimore Ravens. Carl was selected by the Ravens in the 3rd round of the 2015 NFL Draft. A portion of the nights proceeds will benefit Carl's Foundation, Trenchwork Foundation.
Willie Henry, Jr. is a defensive tackle for the Baltimore Ravens. Willie was selected out of Michigan by the Ravens in the 4th round of the 2016 NFL Draft.
Jim Hunter is a broadcaster for the Baltimore Orioles on MASN and the Orioles's Radio Network. Jim has covered the Orioles since 1997, as he once was 'the voice' of the team.
Brandon Jackson is a former linebacker for the Miami Dolphins, Carolina Panthers, and most notably, the Baltimore Ravens. Brandon was a member of the Ravens 2001 Super Bowl Champion team. Brandon currently is a studio-analyst for Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic.
Matt Judon is a linebacker for the Baltimore Ravens. Matt was selected out of Grand Valley State by the Ravens in the 5th round of the 2016 NFL Draft. Matt recorded 4 sacks as a rookie last season.
Jessica Kartalija is a news anchor for CBS Baltimore WJZ13. Jessica also runs JKMedia, specializing in executive coaching & media training. Jessica has acting credits as a reporter in both Transformers and House of Cards.
Jessica Long is a is a Russian-born United States Paralympic swimmer from Baltimore, Maryland. Jessica is a 13x Olympic Gold Medalist. Jessica will be playing cornhole in support of the Casey Cares Foundation.
Jameel McClain is a former linebacker for the New York Giants and most notably, the Baltimore Ravens, where he is regarded as one of the most successful undrafted players in the teams history. Jameel currently is the Assistant Director of Player Engagement for the Baltimore Ravens. Jameel McClain also is the founder of 53 Families Foundation, a client of PPF's!
Terrell McClain is a defensive end for the Washington Redskins. Terrell was selected out of South Florida by the Carolina Panthers in the 3rd round of the 2011 NFL Draft. Terrell has also played for the Patriots, Texans and Cowboys.
Paul Rabil is one of the most popular lacrosse players in the country. Currently Paul plays lacrosse professionally for the New York Lizards. A portion of the nights proceeds will benefit the Paul Rabil Foundation.
Kyle Richardson is a former punter for the Baltimore Ravens. Kyle was a member of the Ravens 2001 Super Bowl Champion team. Kyle also played with the Dolphins, Seahawks, Vikings, Eagles, Bengals, and the Browns.
Visanthe Shiancoe is a former NFL tight end for the Giants, Vikings, Patriots, Ravens and Titans. Visanthe played both high school football (Silver Spring) and college football (Morgan State) in Maryland.
Matt Stover kicked in the NFL for 20 years, most notably for the Baltimore Ravens, where is a Ring of Honor member. Matt is also a 2x Super Bowl Champion. Matt will be co-MCing the nights festivities with Pam Shriver.
D.J. Swearinger is a safety for the Washington Redskins. DJ was selected out of South Carolina by the Houston Texans in the 2nd round of the 2013 NFL Draft. D.J. will be playing cornhole to benefit So What Else, Inc., a charity from Rockville, MD that supports youth programming.
Justin Tucker is a kicker for the Baltimore Ravens. Justin played college football for the University of Texas. Additionally, Justin is a 2x Pro Bowler, a 2x First Team All-Pro, and has the second highest field goal accuracy in NFL history.
Terrance West is a running back for the Baltimore Ravens. Terrance was selected out of Towson University by the Browns in the 3rd round of the 2014 NFL Draft. Terrance created the Terrance West B.W.I. Foundation, a PPF client.
Brandon Williams is a defensive tackle for the Baltimore Ravens. Brandon was selected out of Missouri Southern by the Ravens in the 3rd round of the 2013 NFL Draft. Brandon is a supporter of the Maryland Food Bank, a charity that will be receiving a portion of the night's proceeds on his behalf.
Mike Wright is a pitcher for the Baltimore Orioles. Mike was selected out of East Carolina University by the Orioles in the 3rd round of the 2011 MLB Draft. A portion of the night's proceeds will benefit Mike's foundation, Wright State of Mind.
